Death Poem by Kai Bonhomme

Death

Like a black tear,
Falling from the black sky,
The stars go red,
Everything is silent,
Suddenly there is a face,
Closely upon yours,
Creeping,
Breathing,
Living,
But not looking like it,
Who are you?
What have you come for?

You see bones,
Piled up in the corner,
Where the shackles lay in your mind,
Then all of a sudden,
Everything goes pitch black,
The spirals in your mind go wild,
Attacking,
Wanting your soul for its own,
But what is it,
An animal looking for a meal,
Maybe a bear in your dreams,
No.

It's Death
Seeping through your mind,
Making you think,
The most twisted thoughts of all,
Why hadn't I killed her before she killed me?
Do I deserve to get taken off Earth this way?
No,
But somehow inside of me,
I,
I just know this was meant to be,
I knew it was coming...
Silence
