Death Poem by Dhiren Doley

Death

You are cruel not because
You come to everyone
Before I tell your cruelty
I must render an appreciation to you that
You are the impartial reward
Not discriminating colours, fashion or possession
You are not afraid of the rich
Nor the barrels of guns
You do not care the iron gates
Or the painted bricked walls
You do not care who sit on the thrones
Or who sleeps on the broken cot
There is no such a place you haven't travelled
There is no such a house you haven't visited
I never mind you coming
But the cruellest things, I do not like, I must tell
That you never tell your timing when actually you come
You never allow anybody prepare for a lovely meeting with you
You are a kind of despot; your decisions are one-sided
And you smile out your coaly teeth in the darkest streets
(furious but funny too!) and you keep everyone in fear
Before the sleep
After the sleep
While in car
While sailing
No beauty much enjoyable
No adventure is so confident
You are such cruel!
