Death Poem by Matt Bickimer

Death

Death is like the color black,
Black like the darkest night without any light
Death is like the feeling of fear, Fear like as you watch your family suffers, dying a painful death, right before your own eyes
Death is like the cold, Cold like the wind that blows down your neck giving you goose bumps and you know it’s the wind of death
Death is like the end of a story, the story that is your life, as you flip though them for last time
Death is like the taste of gum,
The taste of gum with no more flavor, it’s gray and hard to chew
Death is like the texture of a dead snake,
The texture of a cold, slick, and scaly lifeless body of a dead snake
Death is like the eyes of a dying man
The eyes sight fading getting darker and darker, until…. You see nothing

Death is like the sound of silents,
Silent’s is all you hear because you’re the last living human on earth
Death is like the poem that ends you know it’s all over,
just like your life, you know your life has ended
