Death Poem by Young Heart

Death

poppy flowers in your hands
snowdrops painting your breath
as marigolds shielded the light
and you lay in a distant land.

The two of you wrote an Image Poem that says so much because your images carry so much meanings. For example, the poppy is associated with death and the corpse is clutching them. SNOW DROPS PAINTING YOUR BREATH is a stunning image! It combines beauty and grief in one wrenching moment. The one gentle image of the marigold hiding, sheltering the body is ambiguous but sweet. And finally the body is list in a foreign land - no family to care for it - very sad. Your quatrain does all this in just a few words. It's a remarkable achievement!
