This ferry of deliverance
Sent to transport me from
The darkness of this world
Into God’s glories presence
While life’s toil is a burden
And I’ve labored to my end
A good soldier for His glory
My yesterdays gladly arrested
I’ll stroll the paving of death
Head high, hands outstretched
To board that unflattering ferry
To travel across the dreary sea
A journey to my resting place
Into His unveiled presence
Into His everlasting arms
