Death Experience Poem by Shiv Kumar

And i was left alone awake in my thoughts
as the night plamits and darkness spreads out
A slight chill creeping up my spine
As the wall clock hits 9

The room suddenly got cold
A slight mist covered my soul
Utter silence i could hear my heart bump
my feet starting to get a little numb

My heart pounded outside my body
The lungs compressed
Air around me got heavy as death
and its getting heavier with each breath

The numbness rose and poisoned my body
Paralyzing my body haunted my soul
It turned dark as the darkest raven
As the clock strikes 1 am

The body at its limit as the cold sores
fear made home in heart and darkness roars
The heart stopped beating the lungs stopped breathing
I know death is the winner but still fighting

The time stopped the pain vanished
The fear was gone but the silence perished
A soothing warmness spread in my body
A joy a peace a happiness unexplained

Now the struggle ended
i closed my eyes and invited grim
Hold me, take me and release me from my misery
i said
the grim took his sword out of his chest

As he was going to cut my life line
A strange and crooked smile
The tip of the blade touched my soul
disintegrated it and made a hole

From the hole came a bright light
Blinding the grim and tearing the night
A soothing voice whispered in my ear
Its not your time child why are you here

It then fused into my body
And my heart beated
Air flew into my lungs
I started breathing

The air around me got light with each breath
Body got antivenom and the soul got a reason
Life is very short death unexpected
so enjoy your life as death maybe at you doorstep
