Death In Your Arms Poem by Katherine H. Belle

Death In Your Arms

Rating: 4.8

I imagine there
Just beyond my reach
Like a babe
with outstretched
And wanting arms
Your embrace
Engulfing me like the tide
And I feel
The ebb and flow
Of our unspoken
need for each other
Our need for human connection
But shall I perish here
Dying in your arms
Fallen
Like Eponine
Singing my last great song to you
And speaking
With my very last breath
Of my love
For that which I cannot have?

This indeed is a wonderful poem. 'Your embrace Engulfing me like the tide And I feel The ebb and flow Of our unspoken need for each other Our need for human connection' - So eloquent, marvelous!
