Death Of Something Poem by moon dust

Death Of Something

Rating: 5.0

You cannot leave me
Wisps of you float through my mind
Your scent is carried to me in the fall air
I look for you, you are not here
But you cannot leave me
You intrude on my life at any time
Thoughts of you could be miles away
And then
I hear your laughter on the wind
I feel you touch brushing through my hair
I look for you, but you are not here
The pain of your absence hits me again
A wound partly healed, torn open again.
