Death, You Took Away Poem by Hebert Logerie

Death, You Took Away

Death, you took away the Kings, Queens,
Popes, Presidents, Ministers, and Marines.
You tucked away the children, the young and the old.
You took away the beautiful, the strange and the bold.
Who the heck are you?
Who helped you and sent you?
I know for sure that you are not God,
Because you make people so mad, and so sad.
You tucked away the nurses, the officials and the doctors.
You killed the thieves, the innocent and the liars.
Where the heck are you?
Is it true that one day you will get me too?
Wow! You took away my father and my auntie.
I have no fears. Just tell me when you'll come to get me?
