Deadly is his sting
Especially vulnerable are children
Always shake out your boots
To make sure he's not in there
He doesn't give a warning
Silently he stabs you
Takes you by surprise
Allow him to crawl away
Leave him totally alone
Kill you he just might
Even if you survive
Results are never pleasant
well, Kim, i like 'Nature and would usually not harm an animal who didn't harm me first, BUT you paint such a nasty picture (as well as posting a picture) of this critter that i would be tempted to.................. shake MY shoes out, one by one, and if from one a scorpion does run, crush it under said shoes right away, OR else she may sting ME to death another day! bri :)

I honestly have no memory of this poem, though I seem to have left a comment! It could not be that I am getting old, COULD it! ? ? YIKES Your poem is a welcome warning. I now shake shoes each morning. Kill me it can, but still I will resist. Even from injuring, I shall desist... Since it looks so much like my mom. Bri :))
