Decisions Poem by Kennedy Huston

Decisions

Rating: 4.5

I am thinking
about the future
the past
the present
life sits frozen
starring me in the face
waiting for me to make a decision
but no one can give me advice or help
they are stuck too
watching
while I debate the reasons for living
the reasons for dying
like a TV show that only airs an episode a night
you never get to know what happens
your anxious
anticipating what is going to happen next
but you never get to know
all you get to see is that one episode
so I understand finally
what it would mean
if I were without my friends and family
and if they were without me
it would mean nothing
so I move slowly going against life
killing it as I put a gun to my head

An insightful piece of poetry depicting the state of mind of one about to commit suicide - the final moments before disaster, A well articulated poem nicely penned with conviction. Thanks for sharing Kennedy. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
