Deep Reflection Poem by Susanna C. Hemphill

Deep Reflection

Rating: 0.5

If I could trust myself as I have trusted all of you with my heart.
I could be free to be the genuine me.
If I could give to myself as I have given all of me to all of you.
I could live everyone of my dreams.
If I could hold myself as I have held all of you when your eyes drowned with the tears of pain.
I could possibly overcome this wish for death.
If I could love myself as I have come to love all of you.
I could be safe from the pain of all you have conflicted upon me.
