Deep Thought Poem by Stephen Scrivens

Deep Thought

Rating: 4.5

Just In Deep Thought If Only She Knew What She Was Really Worth Instead Of Hooking Up With Guys Who Cant Even Remember Name

Putting Her Head Down As If She Was Ashamed
Doing Everything She Could Just To Keep Him
But Wouldn't Find Until Later On That He Would Beat Her
So Ask Myself Is This What Love Really Is
To Have A Stranger Who Say They Love You
But To Only Use His Hands To Hurt You Instead Of Protecting You

Like A Precious Flower That Blossoms In The Spring
Tears On Her Pillow As She Endures This Pain
All She Ever Wanted Was Somebody To Love
Instead She Was Getting Abuse And Misuse Like A Drug
Many Attempts To Leave Her Situation
She Felt Her Life Meaningless In This Godless Generation.

It's a bad thing to love someone that don't know you care. Time brings about changes.

An insightful depiction of distress and frustration in bliss of love, well articulated and nicely penned with conviction. Thanks for sharing Stephen. Please read my poem THE OBSESSIVE AGONY OF LUST.
