Deep Within Poem by Alyssa George

Deep Within

A broken heart found deep within,
Surrounded by regretful sin.
What can one do to change the past,
When the present moves so fast.

Apologize for what's been done wrong,
Then leave it alone, an off-tune song.
Forgive not forget, learn from the mistake,
Re-invent yourself, but don't be a fake.

Think of it often to help set you straight,
Still don't allow it to control your fate.
From your mind it will not travel far,
Always around, like a bullet wound scar.

A broken heart found deep within,
Surrounded by regretful sin.
What can one do to change the past,
NOTHING, the present moves too fast.
