~~Deep Within the Children's Eyes~~

Deep within the children's eyes
Are puddled tears and unheard cries
True fear unlike the fears man sees
Grown men can run, escape or flee

Children trapped without recourse
Abuse, starvation, with no remorse;
These ones still love their mom and dad
Children blame themselves for bad.

Deep within the children's eyes
Still puddled tears eventually dry;
Wake up, new day brings hint of hope
Fear returns, neglect - booze - dope.
