Deepest Wounds Poem by chantel weston

Deepest Wounds

the deepest wounds
they come from
the ones that you trust the most
the ones that you thought
would keep your secrets
the ones that would be there
forever no matter what happened.

the deepest bloodyest
come from the ones closest to you
the ones that you love in one way or another.

i feel them
burning deep inside
like a red hot knife burning through
skin, burning through every part of me
no water to quinch the flame.

nothing to help the burn
no hoping of ever winning again,
i have lost a dear friend for what reason,
i do not know
they will not say,
how am i to read a mind?
how am i to handle her hostility
the lothing of a part of me
that i am not aware of?

cant tell you
how bad the burn is
for its in a place to far
in my heart to see,
to deep for people to see.

the ones that hurt you the most
are the ones you trust with every thing..
