Definition Of Life Poem by APPHIA GARCIA

Definition Of Life

Rating: 4.3

Life is like one day
It comes around for not very long then fades away.
What can you accomplish?
What can be done in just one day?

Life is like a mist.
While in it your future is undetermined, its not clear.
And like mist that vanishes with the passing of a heavy wind,
Our life in a twinkle of an eye can disappear.

Life is like a shadow in the sand.
It seems so permanent
We almost believe its here to stay, so we keep running after the things in it.
But the more we chaste life,
Like a shadow it keeps drifting away.

Life is like a fruit tree that is germinated then sprout to produce more fruit.
That fruit brings about smiles or even cringing faces
Because some may or may not enjoy it for whatever reason.
But like that fruit tree life is here for just a season.

Life is like a beautiful rose that blossoms in the morning
And if not nurtured, withers by night.
How tender the petals are
How fragile the stalk.
That beautiful rose,
Though it dies it can be easily replaced
But not so with life.
When loved ones are lost we hurt so deeply
Even though we know life,
Life is so, temporary..
