Delightful Flowers Poem by Marilyn Lott

Delightful Flowers

Rating: 5.0

Nothings more cheerful than flowers
At any time of the year
But after a dreary cold winter
We smile at all of their cheer

There is every color of the rainbow
That we are so delighted to see
And once the blooms open up
They are displayed so gracefully

I so love their sweet fragrance
Each one an individual smell
Some are so distinctive
Walking by you can always tell

Some thrive best in springtime
Others wait for summer heat
There are a few that bloom
In winter and are such a treat

We won’t grumble so much I think
During a few spring showers
If we stop to realize the reason is
To bring on delightful flowers!
