Demise Poem by Rutvi Padhy

Demise

The light wouldn’t shine for long,
Darkness comes closer to me,
And I try to escape its holds,
But its clutches won’t set me free.

I stroll, stumble my way around,
But the darkness, it pulls me deep,
I call for help, I cry aloud,
But no one hears me weep.

I keep fighting against the chains alone,
Alone, I keep walking against the winds,
But someday,
I wish to stop,
I wish to release the pain within.

Thus, I wouldn’t walk any farther,
I wouldn’t fight any more,
Now, I’d adhere to the terms of darkness,
To darkness, I’d submit my soul…

this is the poem I prefer out of the 8 you've posted today. The other 7 are love poems (a natural 'fact' for a girl so young) , but this one is a bright page of poetry.. keep on writing such verse, Rutvi! ;) Thanks for sharing
