Denis Kadman Poem by Francis Duggan

Denis Kadman

His ancestors were the first Australians and they came here sixty thousand years ago
But Denis doesn't seek advantage of his heritage a more honourable person I have yet to know
No he is one who never seek advantage he is a moral man in every way
And if everybody were like Denis Kadman the World to live in would be quite okay.

He is a poet singer songwriter and musician and Denis Kadman strums on his guitar
And sings his songs for refugees imprisoned the people who were misplaced due to war
He is one who speaks out for the downtrodden and he is a fighter for the noble cause
And he sings for those locked in detention centres and against the Government's oppressive laws.

And he sings for all the poor and the forgotten and he does his best for to right a social wrong
Brave Denis warrior for all noble causes we want you for to sing another song
We want you to sing another anti war song and another song for the poor refugee
And your songs will be loved and sung forever and your songs won't die in a century.

Sing another song for us brave Denis Kadman you are a hero for humanity
It's not your fault that people are imprisoned that decent people lose their liberty
And so keep on singing for your worthy causes and sad to say
people like you too few
You campaign for human rights freedom and justice and the world needs many more people like you.
