Depression Poem by Megan Kathryn Miller

Depression

Darkness surrounds the depths of my mind
Blackness closes in
No one is there
I can’t hear a sound but my own heartbeat
Its choking me
The silence is too thick
It cuts off my air and pulls me downward
It’s up to my eyes
I’m covered in it
Though my mind could think I still was a mad man
Suddenly noise
Loud crashing noise
Though my eyes could see I still was a blind man
Darkness covered my eyes
But I could still see
I watched everything get sucked into blackness
