Depression Progression Poem by E.A. England

Depression Progression

Rating: 4.5

outside: our bodies touch
inside: a million miles apart
searching for a way to break
the stronghold on your heart

let me in to fix you
i can repair all that's lost
i want to see your smile again
no matter what the cost.

yet here we lay once more
as silent as can be
can my love ever breach
this swirling, raging sea?

i tighten my grip around you
just to feel you slip away
will i ever have you back again?
will there ever come a day?

i long for all those memories
the laughs of yesterday
i want to make you happy
but i don't know what to say

A very nice poem with a wonderful title. I liked the first and the last stanza.
