Descend Poem by Radu Luca

Descend

One year in and cries never die
A man might change but never will cry
The horrors to which I bear witness have left me scathed and confused
As to why I was here refusing to lose
Great courage it took to rise from these ashes
The devils head in my hand The sounds of swords clashing

Long is the hill Onto which I must ascend
To get out of this place that never ends
Anger and greed of souls long forgotten
Waiting to be freed Forever begotten

Two years in and not a light I have seen
Other then fires that burn through a mans deep soul
Always in anguish never in control
Raw and filthy are a mans thoughts today
For he will never understand the beautiful way
In the hopes to succeed I must free myself from sin
Abolish the mystery and peak within

The flicker of light catches my eye
At last the sun is blazing high
From the pit I emerged a man with control
Over his own fate, forget the scroll
We are what we make and forever create
A beautiful human forever in grace.
