Desert Acres Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Desert Acres

Lively spirit walking through desert acres,
enjoying time spent and being quiet.

A soulful peace descends on natural surroundings,
filling interiorly, a deep abysmal chasm.

Allowing life to have it's fill, forsaking closeness,
others and the world.

Being true to self, lifting spiritually through
adversity and trials, taking off without a backward
glance, living alone although never lonely, because
nature has become one with self.
