Desire Poem by ali naghavi

Desire

There was a nightingale on the desires tree
The tree was bare, bare of the leaf
The nightingale too, was bare of feather
The shadow of death upon both of them
Sometimes nightingale softly hem
Then, was singing a song, a soft song
The song of farewell, farewell to life
And was lamenting to passing of the time
Defeated the life on the dead branches
Singing all a song, singing all a song
Now it is the end of the life to her
And yesterday she lost her pretty pair
Sorrowful, wandering, hesitant, fearful
But the bowl of life became very full
There is not the time for the nightingale
She had a partner, but now is single
It is too mournful, if it is a fact
No one can defense to the death's attack.
