Desire Poem by Savita Tyagi

Desire

Rating: 4.0

How peaceful to get away from world
Crouching in your own shell arrears
Not even a thought to trouble
Retiring in silence indifference to memory
But for desire to write pricks like a thorn.

You are so true, desire is life. The day desire dies there's no life as well. Desire is a much maligned word, but all desires are not bad. What is bad may be the quality of desire. It is the quantity that is bad. And strange is the desire to write and to be read! . Aniruddha Pathak 15 Sept 2018

Thoughts of great wisdom.....! Yes, desire is not the root cause of our suffering, but our inability to entertain such desires which can be fulfilled with our ability.... If we are overridden by desires which are beyond our ken of achievement, sorrow and frustration will be net result. Enjoyed this philosophical write!

Sometimes to get away from all the day to day things is a solace. Beautifully expressed. Thank you.
