Desire Poem by Michelle Claus

Desire

Woman
"I crave intoxication"

Man
"Drink this wine, my love"

Swirling liquid lingers
on crystal

His deep eyes make her dizzy

She takes his glass of wine
cradles it in her palms
Plum aroma tickles her nose
and tongue

Amber balm
would warm her within
soften her edge

yet she allows the glass to fall
release elixir

In languid stream
so many shards reflecting
drowning her in effigy - One

crystal pierces
unveiling her desire
more numinous
than winsome eyes can promise

Wow, beautiful poem! Short, but the farthest thing from simple! Truly great (: I invite you to check out some of my own, and leave any advise for me as a writer, I would greatly appreciate it! sincerely - Christian Hudak
