Desire Poem by Utsav Sarkar

Desire

Rating: 5.0

I want to be a silent viewer
Like lifting peaks of the Himalaya,
Thinker like mossy stones
Across the cradle of the earth,
Dreamer like craving eyes of nestling,
Lover like creeper around Nature,
I want to be a tireless traveler
Like a grey running road ever,
And be restive like soaring wings,
I want to live beyond rest
Through the broken wiling-crest,
I want to be a new ever new
Amid entrance and exit,
Like wave of the wavy ocean
I want to be rhythmic beat;
Holding countless feelings
Like patient starry sky,
Let me awake above the barren soil
Sucking the breast of the best;
Let my desire be arch
Like bathing sun in the west,
Like shining hope of basking beach

Beautiful piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned in poetic diction with insight. Lovely train of thought that amply employs appropriate similes to drive home the poet's conviction. Thanks for sharing Utsav. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
