I love this poem, we cause ourselves problems by not being able to put aside our darkness during rest in order to enjoy the peace of that time. I remember as a young person once I went to my bed, that was my time of solace and I was able to erase all negativity from my mind. As a adult I tend to take these problems to to my bed with me. My desire mixed with despair is far too much for the mind to absorb. What an amazing poem you've penned, grabbing the reader and encouraging them to think of self...Love this..... (Report) Reply

    Wonderful poem...Beautiful lines...
    To admit desire
Is the cause of all despairs...Very true said. Loved reading it. I feel after a particular point of time in ones life following Buddhism can do much. Especially when one to detach from everything and from all worldly affairs. Loved reading it. (Report) Reply

The true meaning of life is substantiated by the ultimate mindset of every individual.
Desire and despair are quite human and therefore lay platform for your philosophy of guidance. Well written Mr Prem Kumar. (Report) Reply

Desire and despair are related, as the Hindu prince Buddha told, but he did not tell us how to live our life without desire, as everyone can not give up the desire and the bond of the family. If everyone become the monk, whom do we look, for the alms. Donating the ill gotten money will not eliminate our bad karma...Hinduism talks about life...but Buddhism talks about the despair of every meal! ! ! (Report) Reply

despair deposited in the minds earns us worries, that is the disintersting interest.
Simple poem and clear expression of thoughts, nicely put. (Report) Reply

Very nicely written. It makes one think about desire and despair. I like the way you tie your words to the teachings of Buddha. It's a great lesson and great write 10. (Report) Reply
