Destination True Lover Walks Poem by Don Nguyen

Destination True Lover Walks

Rating: 5.0

I love you with one mind
Like walking this foggy road,
Alone in the morning,
Unafraid of being blind
By the unknown ahead,
As Love occupies my whole being.
Love is the strong tower,
Upon which my soul rests.
Love provides this traveler
With a sustaining bower,
Encouraging wind for the kite to crest.
Your love this wretched soul has sustained,
I now cannot complain,
Simply lie rested upon your breast,
And bear all the unseen to remain serene,
For in you my thoughts rest,
With you I long to belong.
There's nothing worldly to be born
When you and I in each morn,
In arms one mind we embrace,
One heart into another is placed.
I am not afraid of distant flights;
I do not hesitate any unfamiliar sight,
For an adventure for love is heaven-like,
Today I am comforted by being Christ-like,
Then some day He and I become one completely.
What a lovely destination to be
Opening before me that vast meadow, the lovely lea!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I reserve two hours each morning in prayers in poetry. I am thankful to be able to share with you. The rest of my day will be very busy, as I have lost my only associate at work, but I will try to be with all my poet friends through the day whenever I can catch a short break. You all have a wonderful day!
