Destroyers In Foyers Poem by Edwina Reizer

Destroyers In Foyers

Genocide, ecocide
Must humans kill
everything in sight?
People and plants
all say goodnight.
For the fools on this earth
don't know their worth
and most are numb
to what they've become.
Destroyers in the foyers
that leads to a silent place
where there is no face
of beauty in their eyes
as they come in disguise.
But the masks they wear
can't cover up the care
that's missing in our lives.

Mother Earth cries
big tears from the skies
to cleanse all in sight
and hope we'll unite
to stop this insanity
to her and humanity.
Can you not hear Her cry
like I?
