Diamonds And Rocks Poem by Ellie Dalton

Diamonds And Rocks

If you could have a wish
For something you can't have
Would you sell your soul
For something you don't want?

Would you sell Diamonds for rocks
Would you sell gold for tin
would you give away your life
for an empty one instead

If you think that your life is as dull as coal
wouldn't you agree
that after time
coal becomes pure beauty
______________________

If silver is in the fire
Before it gets it's shine
If coal is under pressure
Before it gets it's bling

A crystal under the rocks
gold under the mud
prizes are found everywhere
If you would just look
