Diary Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

Diary

Rating: 5.0

Monday was sunny
The day was so fair,
I watched the leaves falling
Through still autumn air.
Tuesday rain showers
The day was so cold,
I felt so lonely
With no one to hold.
Wednesday was windy
And leaves swirled around,
I watched them blowing
Across barren ground.
Thursday was frosty
The land frozen white,
I woke with the songbirds
At dawn's rising light.
Friday brought snowfall
The first of the year,
The winter is coming
And drawing so near.
Saturday misty
The children did play,
With sledges and snowmen
Throughout the whole day.
Sunday I prayed to
The Lord up above,
I needed somebody
To show me some love.

Andrew, this is penned so softly with sadness and yet filled with much imagery that you have tied in with mother nature... Very emotional way of painting the emptiness in your heart whatever the season, or the weather may hold... Enjoyed this very much, you certainly do have a wonderfull way of conveying your emotions through mother nature... You are one talented writter....... Bonnie

Beautiful write, Andrew. You have a special talent for using nature to illustrate your wonderful poems. Spring seems to be more wonderful following a cold, hard winter. It's the same with love, my friend. Expect blessings. Richard.

You pen with the heart, the mind and the spirit. A lovely, lyrical piece. I like what you see from your window on the world. Thank you for your kind words about my work. Warm regards, Sandra

Andrew Your imagination is endless. This is a great idea, going through a diary of days. It worked so well. I never wanted it to stop. The imagery so free flowing and blowing me into a place so beautiful I never want to leave......Karin Anderson

Oh Andrew, you are such a splendid chronicler of the world about you. You have such a gift for observation and reflection and yet it is your ability to share your heart's yearning that so touches the reader. May your prayers be answered and may love wander into your life, just as you dream it. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥
