Dilemma Poem by Marilyn Shepperson

Dilemma

Rating: 4.3

I have fears and doubts in plenty
I'm afraid of what I know is for certain
And I fear what I've said is a prophecy
For I doubt you can change or halt it
I know you've not listened to what I've said
So, I must put on brave front and keep my dread inside me
Away from the eyes and ears of the world
I fear what I know will come to pass
Maybe not now, maybe not soon
But maybe before the year is out
Yet when I hear what you say, when you try to calm me
I do so want to believe it's true
And be free of dread and doubt
Yet deep down inside, I still know what I know.

Your poem speaks of what is known inside your soul, within your heart. I understand this and know it too, for me of course. I like how you put into words something I have difficult expressing. Thank you. HG: -) xx
