He drops the bomb
You know it's wrong
You lean in; give him a kiss
But you know something's amiss
He's your best friend
Until the end
But now he is blue
And it's all because of you
He tells you he's in love
You look to the sky above
You can't pretend,
Not with your best friend
But he's in love with you
You must bid him adieu
A bond broken
Through words unspoken
A good friend lost
A good friend crossed
He took a leap
Right into the deep
Only to be chastised
