Disobedience - Poem by Saiom Shriver

When God I disobey,
my higher self is
left in disarray..
It is paradise that I delay
as I create a longer way.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

Higher self is one of countless terms for the soul within in which God is enthroned no matter how dense the cloud dover to the inner sun
