Distant Dreams Poem by Kevin East

Distant Dreams

I can hold you in my dreams
By country path
And avoid life's evil schemes
And hear you laugh.

I can feel your hand in mine
As if you are there
And drink the sunset wine
That lights your hair.

Our kiss that is so light
But stings my heart
As stars smile their goodnight
We ache to part
Yes nothing is ever as it seems
But i'll love you again
In distant dreams.
