Distant Lover Poem by LaShawanda Ivey

Distant Lover

Rating: 0.5

I'm trying to figure out, Should I believe the things you say
Because all I've been getting are broken promises
and shattered dreams that fades away into the sky
Everytime your mouth babbles all I HEAR ARE LIES.
I tried to imagine you and I old and gray
sitting around with our kids and grand kids.
But that was an imaginary dream that had cross my mind
Out of ALL the things you have taken from me
All I have is my Sanity that is still intact.
My HAPPINESS is gone. The smile I
use to have every time I thought of you.
FAITH I had when I thought WE could have
made it If only my love alone could have saved us
Maybe that was all a LIE
