Diversity Poem by Giridhar Ghodkar

Diversity

It's a sad day when I am told - my way or no way
I realize how blind the world has become
when people say you are not welcome
just because I love to know different routes to reach a garden
I am unhappy when I am told that there is only one song and you are wrong
I am spurned when I say love has many expressions
They say these are my transgressions
I say let's overcome this rudeness
I am threatened for the trueness
But I choose beauty over insanity
That's why I cherish beauty in diversity.
