Divine Authority For The Ministry Of Christ Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

Divine Authority For The Ministry Of Christ

inspiration of an inspired moment
counted in sunlight grains of sand
inspiration in split instant moment
pierces third eye in beams of light
pierces blue sky in genius of ages
shines on set sun dial of creativity
butterfly metamorphosis a nativity
starlight birth witnessed by angels

upon wings of prayers descendant
upon answered prayers generations
awaited generations to thrill delight
where are words to praise this night
to describe a miracle born birth light
angelic voices in symphony myriads
sing praise God's gift this holy night
God so loved the world in blessings

ransom of love was freely bestowed
wages of sin conquered by a perfect
soul given in love all heard the word
gospels writ inspired in Holy Spirit
would across the earth spread light
preached to an entire world in light
lost restored in a single Holy Night
any may embrace blessed divine light

in free choice is salvation given souls
accept reject appointed angels harvest
fine wheat from waste chaff separated
people name baptized fire Holy Spirit
'I am the one needing to be baptized'
in reply Jesus said to John the Baptist
'Let it be so now; it is proper for us
to do this to fulfill all righteousness.'

John consented; now the wise must
ask why? 'Christ was circumcised,
and observed all the other ordinances
of the law of Moses, not with a view
to his own justification; but to fulfill
the dispensation committed to him by
the Lord, the God and Creator of all
things.' Justin Martyr stated declared.
