Division Poem by Ryan Frenrey

Division

Charcoal mascara drips down innocent eyes
Melting in pools of tears
Flooding atop a one way road
Diving into fear

Painted arms scream regret
Chanting tales of a wretched past
Empty holes in the sunset
Hidden behind a thieves mask

Stolen days bent and chewed
A pure heart mixed and tainted
A prism glass broken into two
Filled of colors slowly fading

The journey reached its ending road
An intersection splitting into two
A comforting desire left cold
When one lover withdrew

Sober memories are now a buzz
A syringe dives back inside the veins
Containing all that once was
Emptiness is all it contained
