Dixie Land Poem by Felicity Slaughter

Dixie Land

A woman
Light olive skin
Supple and smooth
Longing to be caressed

Roses ruby red
Sweet nature's aroma
Velvet soft petals
Delicate and fragile

Misting rain
Cool and crisp
Tumbling down and down
So soothing

Rolling mountains
Deep valleys
Stretching meadows

The beauty of the land of Dixie

A tender romance waits here
For two lovers within Destiny's sight
Here fate decides
That under blue skies
Love blossoms in the
Land of Dixie.
