I often sit & wonder
Do I cross your mind at all?
How often I ask myself
what is it about you that made me fall?
You took his little hand in yours
Promised to be beside him all the way
You were my best friend, too, then
we had a son together one day
so many little things
add up to this big love I keep
You make me laugh when I want to cry
you hold me in my sleep
Not just a few things
There are so many more
Reasons I fell in love with you
This I cannot ignore
Thinking of you again
Can't get you off my mind
Wishing you wanted to stay
and my heart wasn't left behind
