Do I Really Know You? Poem by Katy Lue

Do I Really Know You?

Rating: 4.8

Do I Really Know You?
Do I really know you?
Because I don't think I do.
There's a wall that stands between us,
It shields you from my view,
You don't think I know,
You don't think I saw,
But I saw the secrets you hid from me,
For I leapt over the dreaded wall,
Is it really you?
Or someone in disguise?
You use your lies as a handy mask,
To make the secrets hard to find,
I am all bound up with secrets,
Some are here and some are there,
If I breathe I'll suffocate,
For there hidden in the air,
Secret with secret,
Everything is behind my back,
I have enough secrets for a lifetime.
The truth is what I lack.
