Do Not Cry When The Stars Are Mine Poem by Hathy Tong

Do Not Cry When The Stars Are Mine

Rating: 4.5

My heart wills destiny a story of thousand words
Of a story, of courage, of bravery, my body will never bear
My soul will never pass, my mind nay humble enough to take
Of noble sacrifice, of humble beginnings
Why must this be fairy tale?
What happened to reality’s dream?
Am I not allowed to believe anymore? Not allowed to dream anymore?
What are dreams for? What is living for?
No, living is just to bear the burden of another day.
My soul cannot live it. My body cannot take it. My mind cannot find ‘e solution.
If my soul parts my body, my will finally be free.
Oh, oh mother, I can finally see them.
Yes. So bright. Stars. Mother, will ye not join me?
They are beautiful. Yes, the stars are smiling.
Oh, the pain is leaving. The pain is dyeing.
Mother, I am finally free.

Why do you cry?
Mother! Why do you weep?
Can you not see my happiness?
Leave my empty body, come, and join my soul.
I finally have everything I want, mother,
it is glorious up here.
This is my dream! My reality!
Up here, the starts are my friends.
Yes, I have friends!
Mother! I have friends!
Oh, this feeling! I have friends!
There is no pain, up here! My soul is no longer trapped in that body.
I can truly move! I can run, faster than the wind.
Oh, up here, the world is the purest sapphire.
But do not worry! Because up here, the stars guide us, they show us the path.
I will never be lost.
This is no longer a dream, a fairy tale.
Mother! Mother! Mother!
I can see father! He’s here! He never left, mother. He was here. With the stars!
Join us mother, what wills you stay with my body?
I am here! Not there!
Come, and join us, in the stars.
