Do Not Hide Behind The Anonymity Of E-Mails Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Do Not Hide Behind The Anonymity Of E-Mails

Your words are only words on paper,
And from them I cannot see,
Their tones or inclinations
Or what, you are saying to me.
I need to hear your voice,
To meet you face to face
To watch your face when word you say
And know that come what may
We mean what we do speak.

Replies in poetry are a hobby,
It makes me use my mind,
I do not wish to be unkind,
Your courage you have left behind.
You need to pick up the phone,
If you wish to pursue this mate,
To ring and talk to me,
And hopefully, plan our first date.
