Do Not Put Asunder
When we met briefly,
it was not you chiefly
that I was seeking.
I have dreamt of love
sent from above.
Our ages peaking.
As drops of rain
wash away pain,
you are the rainbow.
Each day we learn
that now is our turn.
In each other we grow.
Do not put asunder
that which lies under
the external veneer.
Joined by love
by the Grace from above.
To each very dear.

Like the way you intriduce the verses with a couplet, good write..
A great poem, well done!
Very beautifully described, I totally enjoyed reading it. I like as well the technical composition of the poem, it has a very natural flow. Keep up the good work and I kindly invite you to read my poem A Poet's Journey

There is a different sort of cadence here that is defies description, I enjoyed it very much.
Great piece, quite interesting!
Simply amazing sentiments, well-penned!
