Do They Really Care For Me? Poem by samantha mogridge

Do They Really Care For Me?

The only one

You don’t know what its like for me,
Having only two brothers in my family,
A sister is what I really long for,
But my parents said they won’t have any more,
I want someone to share my secrets and toys,
Someone who will give me advice about boys,
I can’t go and talk to my brother,
Because they don’t understand girls and go and tell my mother,
My brothers have got one another,
And my father has got my mother,
Then there’s me,
I feel so alone and different but know one can see,
I can only talk to my friends but you can’t trust anyone,
All friends are there for are to help you have fun,
People don’t find it a big deal,
But they don’t know how different I feel,
I want a sister what will change my life forever,
I wish I had a sister so that we could laugh together
