Do You Feel Lonely? Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Do You Feel Lonely?

Rating: 5.0

Do you feel life is so much more?
Do you feel oft alone?
You feel as though you want to soar
Beyond the great unknown

Though loved ones are all around you
Friends and neighbours near
Yet someone’s still beyond your view
Who’s quiet voice you hear

You think it imagination
Confusion of your mind
Some disquieting fixation
Tangle that won’t unwind

Few of us think or feel its God
Believing Him untrue!
Thus it would be extremely odd
He’ll speak to me and you

From billions of people about
Millionaires, queens and kings
While Satan floods one’s mind with doubt
His devils pull the strings

Faith, is a gift of God received
Trust, is its fruit divine
Life, is the Promise who’ve believed
In Christ Salvation’s Vine

Jesus, the Root of life eternal
The Branch of endless love
Life’s Tree, life’s very kernel
Ascending high above

Where faith on earth, is satisfied
Where hope, reaps trust’s reward
Where The Ancient One personified
Is truly our living Lord…..
