Do You Hear Me? Poem by Felicia Manning

Do You Hear Me?

I scream,
I shout,
Please listen to me.
Your ears shut,
Now they hurt,
Now they bleed.

Blah, blah, blah, blah
Blah, blah, blah

The blood drowns out my sound,
Loud words won't fit through the ear,
So my words just travel around,
And over your head,
So much talking,
And you haven't heard a thing I've said.

All you see is my yelling and stomping the ground,
If only I'd take a moment,
To just calm down,
Perhaps then I would see,
There is a certain way words and ears like to meet,
The message must be short,
The tone must be sweet,
In a respectful manner,
I should communicate.

A super cool clever poem! We tend to shout when we are at wit's end but calming down may be good for us. Thumbs up. Fun to read u again.
